After a particularly difficult assignment, Lian Song finds himself questioning his place in the world while "decompressing" in Japan. He falls into his routine. Lian Song enjoys cooking his own gourmet meals, swimming at the local pool (where a pretty staff worker harbors a secret crush on him), and doing his laundry at the same laundromat at the same time every Friday night, when he knows he'll run into the quiet stranger he dreams about. She turns out to be Yukiko (Kyoka Suzuki of Zebraman, playing the same character played by Haru Kawazu in Nakagawa's previous film, Departure). Lian Song follows Yukiko and finds out she works in a kitchen preparing bento boxes. He occasionally buys a bento box, and finds them inedible, but when he approaches Yukiko at her job and asks about buying one, she gives him one, and this bento box turns out to be strangely delicious. Meanwhile, back in Taipei, the hitman's employers have run into trouble with a rival gang whose boss Lian Song executed. The rivals have apparently taken control of the local police department. They offer a truce, but only if Lian Song's bosses turn him over to them.

A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. As explained with deadpan gravity by hilariously naive alien hunter Otto Von Wernherr, the UFOs congregate in areas of intense heroin concentration and feed off the highs of addicts. This alien has found a better high: orgasms. Russian émigré Slava Tsukerman's sci-fi feature takes the alien in alienation seriously, charting the mental disintegration of Carlisle as every sexual partner dies in climax and she turns herself into a heroine-chic angel of death. Easily the strangest to come out of the New York indie explosion of the early '80s, this low budget classic is talky and overlong at almost two hours, but remains an imaginative use of bargain-basement effects (heat aura photography, stop motion animation) for a tale of a most unusual alien encounter. Tsukerman co-composed the minimalist electronic score (in the Laurie Anderson vein). Carlisle, who cowrote the film, also appears as a gay male model. (amazon)

Noul Cinematograf al Regizorului Roman (NCRR) este un proiect cultural al MTR avand ca obiectiv prezentarea unei selectii de film european de fictiune si documentar, promovarea tinerilor regizori romani si europeni, a creatiilor lor artistice si documentare, sustinerea dialogului creatorilor cu publicul din Romania.
MTR isi propune crearea unui cinematograf de arta in Bucuresti, un cinematograf al publicului cultivat, un spatiu al artei cinematografice si al dialogului intelectual. Comitetul de selectie al filmelor este alcatuit din: Dumitru Budrala, Nae Caranfil, Tudor Giurgiu, Radu Mihaileanu, Catalin Mitulescu, Cristian Mungiu, Radu Munteanu, Corneliu Porumboiu, Cristi Puiu, Alexandru Solomon. Fiecare regizor va asigura in mod direct si independent programul unei luni de proiectie. In fiecare luna va fi organizata o discutie libera cu regizorul care a propus selectia filmelor.
De asemenea, vor fi organizate intalniri si discutii cu autorii filmelor vizionate.
In cadrul proiectului, un loc privilegiat il are filmul antropologic, caruia ii va fi dedicata permanent ziua de miercuri.

Ghost in the Shell 2.0 (GHOST IN THE SHELL／攻殻機動隊 2.0 ,Gōsuto In Za Sheru/Kōkaku Kidōtai 2.0?) is a reproduced version of its original 1995 counterpart. It was produced in celebration for the release of The Sky Crawlers in 2008.[1][2] For the films Version 2.0 release, all the original animations were re-produced with latest digital film and animation technologies, such as 3D-CGI. The original soundtrack was also re-organized and re-recorded.

Japanese music composer Kenji Kawai, who orchestrated the score for the original 1995 production, remixed the Version 2.0 soundtrack in 6.1 Channel Surround. Academy Award Winner Randy Thom of Skywalker Sound reprised his role as Sound Designer, after previously working on Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, and whose credits also include work on Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.[1]

To complement the new soundtrack, Japanese voice dialogue was also re-recorded, with some variation from the original script to make use of more recent colloquial phrases in modern speech. Notably, the original male voice actor for the character of the "Puppet Master," Iemasa Kayumi, has been replaced by the female voice actor Yoshiko Sakakibara (Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence's Harraway, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex's Prime Minister Yoko Kayabuki).[1]

The North American release for the film is scheduled to be distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on the DVD and Blu-ray format. The Special Edition release is scheduled to include the original 1995 release alongside the Version 2.0 on a Double Layer Blu-ray, and complimented with the inclusion of a soundtrack CD and booklet with commentary detailing the Version 2.0 production.
