Dark Country [dir: Thomas Jane, 2009]

In his feature film directorial debut, THOMAS JANE (HBO's "Hung", The Punisher) stars in this suspenseful horror thriller. Also starring LAUREN GERMAN (Hostel: Part II) and RON PERLMAN (Hellboy II: The Golden Army). Two honeymooners rescue a mysterious car crash survivor in the Las Vegas desert. But their decision to save the man becomes increasingly regrettable when he turns on them, forcing the newlyweds to do the unthinkable. In a blur of paranormal chaos, the couple must take drastic measures to cover up their actions from the local police, ultimately leading each character to an inescapable fate.

Where the Wild Things Are [2009]

The film concerns the imaginary adventures of a young boy named Max, who is angry when his mother, Connie, invites her boyfriend over. After causing one mischievous antic after another, he is sent to his room without supper. Feeling angry and unloved, he then creates a forest bordering a massive ocean, and sails away to an island inhabited by many large imaginary monsters called the Wild Things, who crown him as their ruler. During his time on the island, he befriends the wild thing Carol, who teaches him the meaning of love.

An adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story, written in 1963, it was awarded the Caldecott Medal in 1964. It also won the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award and was an ALA Notable Book.

White Night [Baek Ya Haeng - 2009]
